Troll MonumentIn 1989, the Arts Council were tasked to take on the project of rehabilitating the space under the Aurora Bridge. Sculptor Steve Badanes and a team rose to the occasion. Inspired by the Billy Goat’s Gruff fairy tale, the group gathered steel rebar and two tons of concrete and set to work. They created an 18-foot tall troll compete with a shiny metal eye beneath the bridge.
